Yaratıcılıkta Tasarımın İşlevi - yalnız Türkçe

Bazı sanatçılar o an duydukları gibi bazıları ise önceden düşünerek  hatta yaratıcı sürecin sonuna ulaşmak için yol haritaları yaparak çalışır.

 Anlık yaratıcılık henüz tamamlanmamış eser üzerinde çalışırken tekrar tekrar başa dönüşler yapabilir.  Bazan bir iplik söküğü gibi çözülüp açılmalar olur, görece kolay ilerleyebilirsiniz ve bir hamlede hayal edebilmiş olduğunuz  bir yaratış alanına girersiniz.

 Bazan yaratıcı süreç çok yavaş ve zor ilerler ve bir duraklamaya uğrar.  Yeni bir başlangıç için bekleme süresi bir kaç günden bazı durumlarda yıllara kadar uzayabilir.

 Büyük ölçekli eser yaratımını, hatta sonatlar, oda müziği vb’de bile eserin ilerisini görmeden yönetmek zordur.  Müziksel yapı bestecinin yaratma sürecinde ilerlerken yön duygusunu korumasına yardımcı olur.

 Tasarım yaratıcının büyüklük ayarı yapmasına imkan tanır.  Örneğin, çeşitleme biçimini seçmeniz size büyüklüğü istediğiniz gibi arttırma imkanını tanıyabiliR.

 Tasarım bestecinin ağır yükünü kısımlara ayırma ve daha sonra herbir alt bölüm üzerinde dikkatini ayrı ayrı toplamasına yardımcı olur.

 Eseri oluşturan nesnel varlıkların tanımlanmasına yardımcı olur.  Bu özellik ilgili kısımların hepsi bir araya geldiğinde oluşacak göreli etkiyi gözleme imkanını verir.

 Besteci enstrüman çalıcılar ve şarkıcılarla nota üzerinden etkileşir.  Bir operadaki enstrümantasyon ve karakterlerin tasarımı onlar arasındaki etkilerşimin tasarlanmasıdır basitçe.

 Tasarım aynı zamanda, bestecinin eser için açık niyet ve görev listesi belirlemesine imkan tanır.  Besteci başlangıç anında nereye varmak istediğini bilmelidir(belirli olmayan bir yer de buna dahildir).

Bu karışık bir sanata eserinde unsurlar arasındaki koordinasyonu ve genel bütünselliği arttırır.

 Bir operada zamanlama, süre, olayların akışı; bir soyut müzik biçiminde bilginin akışı, karakterler, ortamlar... bunların hepsi tasarlanabilir.

 Tasarım yol gösterici ve işler sıkıntıya girdiğinde yol açıcı olmalıdır.  Eserin ana hatlarını belirlemelidir.  Bütün ayrıntıları belirlememelidir.  Aksi takdirde bu, yazmaya başlamadan önce, tasarım aşamasında bile kaybolmanıza yol açabilir.

 Tasarım ne kadar çok ayrıntı belirse o kadar az esnek olur.  Fakat bu tasarımın ilk doğuş anında bile hiç bir ayrıntı belirlememesi gerektiği anlamına gelmez.  Bazan olabildiğince çok yaşaması gerektiğine inandığınız basit bir numarayı geliştirmek için 12 ay uğraştığınız olabilir.

 Tasarım yaratıcının tıkanma noktalarını aşmasına yardımcı olur.  Doğanın tasarımı her canlının hücre çekirdeğinde bulunan kalıtsal maddededir.  Doğa tıkanma noktalarını yeni ve farklı kalıtsal maddeler yani farklı tasarımlar kullanarak oluşturduğu yeni türleri deneyebilecek kadar esnek olarak açmıştır.

 Tasarım güncellenebilir olmalıdır.  Değişiklik yapma eğilimi veya yapmama eğilimi yaratıcıya kalmıştır.

 Dinamik karalar muhakeme ile ya da ilham ile verilir.  Bunlar arasındaki denge artiste ve eserin karakterine göre değişir, aynı zamanda eserin ait olduğu grupsal döneme...

 Tasarım bestecinin ilham ve hayal gücüne bir model olarak hizmet eden bir ilk örnek görevini görür.  Bestecinin zihnindeki göze ileriyi görme gücü verir.

 Tasarım yaratıcı süreç üzerinde düzenleyici, yol gösterici ve kontrol edici bir etkiye sahiptir.  Aynı zamanda, yaratıcının aynı tasarımı kullanarak aynı temaya sahip eserler yaratmasına da imkan sağlar.  Rondo biçimi basit bir örnektir buna.

 Tasarım bu noktaya kadar tasvir ettiklerimden ötedir.  Ne olduğu anlatılabilir fakat tanımlanamaz.

İnanıyorum ki, ilham için bırakılmış-niyet edilmiş boşluklar ile hayal gücü için bırakılmış ustalık boşlukları bırakıldığında yaratıcı sürecin tasarım unsurunun esnekliği başarıda doruğa ulaşır.

Some artists create spontenously some think ahead and even make roadmaps to reach the end of a creative process: the work.

Bazı sanatçılar o an duydukları gibi bazıları ise önceden düşünerek  hatta yaratıcı sürecin sonuna ulaşmak için yol haritaları yaparak çalışır.

Spontenous creativity may make recursive walk throughs of the incomplete work.  Sometimes a breakthrough happens and you enter a creative space which you just imagine at one step or it is relatively easy to proceed.  Intuition is triggered by the minute steps of the creative process even by coincidence.

Anlık yaratıcılık henüz tamamlanmamış eser üzerinde çalışırken tekrar tekrar başa dönüşler yapabilir.  Bazan bir iplik söküğü gibi çözülüp açılmalar olur, görece kolay ilerleyebilirsiniz ve bir hamlede hayal edebilmiş olduğunuz  bir yaratış alanına girersiniz.

Sometimes the creative process gets very slow and difficult and come to a halt.  The waiting period for a new beginning may take a few days or years in some cases.

Bazan yaratıcı süreç çok yavaş ve zor ilerler ve bir duraklamaya uğrar.  Yeni bir başlangıç için bekleme süresi bir kaç günden bazı durumlarda yıllara kadar uzayabilir.

Large scale work creation, even sonatas, chamber music, are difficult to manage without seeing forward.  Musical structure helps the composer to keep a sense of direction while proceeding the  creative process.

Büyük ölçekli eser yaratımını, hatta sonatlar, oda müziği vb’de bile eserin ilerisini görmeden yönetmek zordur.  Müziksel yapı bestecinin yaratma sürecinde ilerlerken yön duygusunu korumasına yardımcı olur.

Design helps the creator to do size scaling.  For example, selecting  a variations form enables you to increase the size as you wish.

Tasarım yaratıcının büyüklük ayarı yapmasına imkan tanır.  Örneğin, çeşitleme biçimini seçmeniz size büyüklüğü istediğiniz gibi arttırma imkanını tanıyabiliR.

Design helps the composer to divide the heavy load to small pieces and concentrate on every and each section.  Design also enables the  composer to correlate  the small pieces and build up music that is  impossible for an individual to keep in mind as a whole.

Tasarım bestecinin ağır yükünü kısımlara ayırma ve daha sonra herbir alt bölüm üzerinde dikkatini ayrı ayrı toplamasına yardımcı olur.

It helps to define the entities that build up the work.  This gives the possibility to observe the relative affect that arises when they come together.  

Eseri oluşturan nesnel varlıkların tanımlanmasına yardımcı olur.  Bu özellik ilgili kısımların hepsi bir araya geldiğinde oluşacak göreli etkiyi gözleme imkanını verir.

The composer interacts with instrument players and singers through the score.  The design of instrumentation and characters in an opera is simply the design of interface between them.

Besteci enstrüman çalıcılar ve şarkıcılarla nota üzerinden etkileşir.  Bir operadaki enstrümantasyon ve karakterlerin tasarımı onlar arasındaki etkilerşimin tasarlanmasıdır basitçe.

Design also enables the composer to set explicit intention and task set for the work.  The composer must know what he wants to get at at the beginning.  This increases the coordination of many elements of a complex art work.

Tasarım aynı zamanda, bestecinin eser için açık niyet ve görev listesi belirlemesine imkan tanır.  Besteci başlangıç anında nereye varmak istediğini bilmelidir(belirli olmayan bir yer de buna dahildir).

Bu karışık bir sanata eserinde unsurlar arasındaki koordinasyonu ve genel bütünselliği arttırır.

The timing, duration, flow of events in an opera, flow of information in an abstract music form, the characters, moods all can be designed.

Bir operada zamanlama, süre, olayların akışı; bir soyut müzik biçiminde bilginin akışı, karakterler, ortamlar... bunların hepsi tasarlanabilir.

The design has to be guiding and opening the way when it gets narrow.  It should determine the main contours of the work.  It should not specify all the details.  This may cause you to get lost even at the design phase before beginning to write.

Tasarım yol gösterici ve işler sıkıntıya girdiğinde yol açıcı olmalıdır.  Eserin ana hatlarını belirlemelidir.  Bütün ayrıntıları belirlememelidir.  Aksi takdirde bu, yazmaya başlamadan önce, tasarım aşamasında bile kaybolmanıza yol açabilir.

The more details defines the design, the less flexible it becomes.  But this does not mean that the design even at its birth moment should not define any details.  Sometimes you work for 12 months for a simple symbolic trick that you believe it has to live for as long as possible.

Tasarım ne kadar çok ayrıntı belirse o kadar az esnek olur.  Fakat bu tasarımın ilk doğuş anında bile hiç bir ayrıntı belirlememesi gerektiği anlamına gelmez.  Bazan olabildiğince çok yaşaması gerektiğine inandığınız basit bir numarayı geliştirmek için 12 ay uğraştığınız olabilir.

Designs help the creator to come over deadends.  The design of the nature is the genetic material in the nucleus of each living creature.  The nature has overcome her failure by being flexible enough to try new species with different genetics namely different design materials.

Tasarım yaratıcının tıkanma noktalarını aşmasına yardımcı olur.  Doğanın tasarımı her canlının hücre çekirdeğinde bulunan kalıtsal maddededir.  Doğa tıkanma noktalarını yeni ve farklı kalıtsal maddeler yani farklı tasarımlar kullanarak oluşturduğu yeni türleri deneyebilecek kadar esnek olarak açmıştır.

Design has to be dynamicly updateable.  The tendency to make change or not is left to the creator.

Tasarım güncellenebilir olmalıdır.  Değişiklik yapma eğilimi veya yapmama eğilimi yaratıcıya kalmıştır.

The dynamic decisions may be given by cognition or by intuition.  The balance between them depends on the artist and th character  of the work, also on the genre.

Dinamik karalar muhakeme ile ya da ilham ile verilir.  Bunlar arasındaki denge artiste ve eserin karakterine göre değişir, aynı zamanda eserin ait olduğu grupsal döneme...

The design serves as a prototype which serves as a model for the intuition and imagination of the composer.  It gives clairvoyance to the composer mind's eye.

Tasarım bestecinin ilham ve hayal gücüne bir model olarak hizmet eden bir ilk örnek görevini görür.  Bestecinin zihnindeki göze ileriyi görme gücü verir.

Design has an organising, guiding and regulating affect on the  creative process.  It also enables the creator to repeat the same design and create other works with the same theme.  The 'Rondeau' form is a simple example.

Tasarım yaratıcı süreç üzerinde düzenleyici, yol gösterici ve kontrol edici bir etkiye sahiptir.  Aynı zamanda, yaratıcının aynı tasarımı kullanarak aynı temaya sahip eserler yaratmasına da imkan sağlar.  Rondo biçimi basit bir örnektir buna.

Design is more than what I have described upto this point.   It can be described but it is not definable.  I believe, the flexibility of the design element of the creative process is at its best when it leaves intentional spaces for intuition and crafty spaces for imagination.

The Role of Design in Creativity

Forword

Music is universal.  Then what is "Music of Words"?
What is the thing that makes words universal?

Phonetics.  Phonemes...

Namely the sounds, humans produce
to express themselves with words,
are almost universal.

But still the use of these sounds
may vary a little among different nations.
Hence different languages may sound completely
different.

Then what is the real thing that makes
GRACIAN's words universal?  What is the
music of GRACIAN's "The Art of Worldly Wisdom"?

It is what GRACIAN says.  It is what
GRACIAN expresses with these words.

The music of words is their meaning.

PROGNOSIS: Türkiye'nin geleceğini tahmin etmek...

Bundan 20 yıl sonra ve 50 yıl sonra Türkiye nasıl olacak?

POLİTİKA:
Oy dağılımları nasıl olacak?  MHP ne zaman kaybolacak?  CHP ne zaman kapanacak?  AKP'nin sağında fundementalist bir legal parti ne zaman kurulacak?  Sağ-dinsel terorist hareket ne zaman yaygınlaşacak?  Sosyalist bir parti ne zaman anayol partilerinden biri haline gelecek?  Liberal parti???

HALK:
Toplumun yüzde kaçı batılı anlamda modern bir hayat sürecek, kaçı dinsel temellerde dayanan bir hayat sürecek,  dinsel eğitim resmi hale geli çift kanallı bir eğitim yapısına geçilecek mi?

DİN:
Türkiye din alanında çağdaş bir yaklaşımın reformlarını yapacak mı?  Yoksa hala herşeyi olduğu gibi koruyacak mı?  Kuran tefsirlerinin sayısı azalacak mı?  Türkiye din konusunda dünya liderliği yapacak mı yoksa alçak gönüllü bir mümin olark kalacak mı?

Bu ve diğerleri...
Toplumumuz neyin nasıl olacağını olması gerektiğini tartışmalı ve öngörmeli.

Basın bu konuda inanılmaz bir sorumluluk taşıyor ama pek bir icraat yok.

Aksi takdirde tepedeki birkaç kişinin sınırlı bilgi ve kültürüne mahkum olur Türkiye ya da gereksiz bazı şüphe ve korkularla enerjisini boşuna harcar.

My Opera Oratorio, Ani's Papyrus

These are some notes that I have scribbled during the one year (2001-2002)
creation process of my opera oratorio 'Ani's Papyrus',
dedicated to the 'Victims of September 11th events'.

How precious life is...

An end increasing the value of every and each moment...

Life can be prolonged by increasing the percepted depth of the moment.

The percepted depth of the moment can be increased
by the essence of the life, work, art of others,
who are living or have lived.

Recursion can augment life.

I had used the text translation and transliteration of Mr. BUDGE's
the Book of the Dead but
I produced my own text by editing.  I did not change any words but
I omitted a lot and brought together as the work requires.

The Book of the Dead are composed of upto 6 thousands years old scrolls
that are put into the coffins in the ancient Egypt.  They pray to the Egyptian
Gods , sun God RA and others to accept the dead to the other world.
To pass to the other world is a very difficult process.  It is an exam where the
dead person have to answer many questions.  The door to the other world
asks its name, the stairs ask their names.  Evrything ask their names.
The dead has to know all...  Actually it is implied that there is a single
answer.  The answer is GOD.

Here is some from the crucial parts:
May be given to me my mouth.
May I speak with it before the God great the Lord underworld.
Not may be repulsed my hand and arm by the divine chief of God any.
...
I have come at the wish of my heart from the pool of the double fire.
...
I have come to thee.  I am glorious.
...
Give thou to me my mouth that I may speak with it
May I follow my heart at its reason of fire and...

Devletimize Sahip Çıkmak

Devletimize, vatana millete sahip çıkmak!
Ya da büyük ve ulu bir dava uğruna mücadele etmek!

Bunlar toplumumuzda bir çok kişinin sahip çıktığı değerler...
Bu amaçlar için mücadele eden insanlar çok...

Devlete sahip çıkmak deyince ilk akla gelen kahramanca bir çaba, şu veya bu yönde...
Oysa devlete sahip çıkmak, vatana millete hizmet etmek
yalnız büyük şeylerle değil
küçücük şeylerle de olur...  Eğer bu küçücük
şeyleri yapan kişilerin sayısı çok olursa
sonuç büyük olur.

Örneğin Norveç ülkesi vatandaşlarının dürüstlüğü ve verdiği sözü tutması ile bilinir.

Vatana millete hizmet etmek yere çöp atmamak, tembellik etmeyip çöp kutusunu kullanmak,
çevreyi temiz tutmaktır.

Vatana millete hizmet için 'eylem koymak',
başkalarının yere atmış olduğu bir çöpü arada sırada da olsa yerden alıp çöpe atmaktır.

Vatana millete hizmet etmek, sizden önce kirli
bırakılmış genel tuvaleti, temiz bırakmaktır.

ABD'de İllinois Devlet Üniversitesinde bir hocam,
David B. WILLIAMS kızıp ta tepesi attığında
pas pası alıp tuvaletleri temizlerdi.

Niye böyle güzel şeyleri Türkler yapmıyor?
