The Definition of Genocide

With my strong belief that any discussion of so called rights etc... should accompany due respect and compassion for the lives of beloved ones that faded a way in the turmoils caused by the games between Russion Csars' and Ottoman Kings'
egos. Alas today, both sides forget to acknowledge the value of human life in their striving for 'success'...

The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide (CPPCG) was adopted by the UN General Assembly on 9 December 1948 and came into effect on 12 January 1951 (Resolution 260 (III)). Article 2:

Any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: killing members of the group; causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life, calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; [and] forcibly transferring children of the group to another group. (Article 2 CPPCG)

La convention sur la prévention et la punition du crime du génocide (CPPCG) a été adoptée par l'Assemblée générale de l'ONU le 9 décembre 1948 et a entré en vigueur le 12 janvier 1951 (résolution 260 (iii)). Article 2 :

Actes suivants l'uns des commis avec l'intention pour détruire, entièrement ou partiellement, a national, ethnique, racial ou religieux groupe, en tant que tel : membres de massacre du groupe ; entraînant le mal corporel ou mental sérieux aux membres du groupe ; délibérément infligeant sur les conditions de groupe de la vie, calculés pour provoquer sa destruction physique entièrement ou partiellement ; les mesures imposantes ont prévu pour empêcher des naissances chez le groupe ; [et] enfants de force de transfert du groupe à un autre groupe.

1948’de Birleşmiş Milletler Soykırım Suçunun Engellenmesi ve Cezalandırılması Sözleşmesi’nin (SSECS) 2. maddesi soykırımı “ulusal, etnik, ırksal ve dinsel bir grubun bütününün ya da bir bölümünün yok edilmesi niyetiyle girişilen şu hareketlerden herhangi biridir: grubun üyelerinin öldürülmesi; grubun üyelerine ciddi bedensel ya da zihinsel hasar verilmesi; grubun yaşam koşullarının bunun grubun bütününe ya da bir kısmına getireceği fiziksel yıkım hesaplanarak kasti olarak bozulması; grup içinde doğumları engelleyecek yöntemlerin uygulanması; [ve] çocukların zorla bir gruptan alınıp bir diğerine verilmesi.” şeklinde tanımlar.[1]
