My letter to NHKworld, a Japanese channel at Tokyo.
I congratulate your broadcast of a documentation related to documents left by the Jewish guards who collaborated with Nazis at Auschwitz. It was a very well prepared objective program.
I would suggest it would be even better if you also prepare/broadcast a program which displays the German folk crowds supporting vehemently Hitler in his parades. Also the Nazi propaganda mechanism and how/why it succeeded.
I worked for EUROCONTROL Karlsruhe as an ATC-FPP engineer btw 1992 and 1997. I believe we must think seriously why NAzis came to power. In fact focusing every blame on Nazis saves the wrongs in the German culture that gave rise to the II world war.
I loved the ending of your program about Auschwitz that the main NAzi leader who designed the Auschwitz says 'I did not even kill a single Jew'. In fact many a German says the same 'I did not kill a single Jew'...
The problem is (also begins the same in Turkey); a society needs to maximize its positives to be successful. For example, your programs underlines a 'smiling positive attitude' in most of persons going through the broadcasts. It is good. It is a strength. And it is also something that may reduve variety... That may lead everybody to move in the same direction. ...
I appreciate your precious contribution to the world culture. Personally I benefited very much from the poises of your speakes. By the way they are extremely pretty...
Best.
